I’ve tried several of the top recipes that come up on Google for FMF bread in a Zojirushi, multiple times with multiple tweaks, trying to make them work, but I always wound up with a tasty, but ugly, sunken loaf. I tried Sue Becker’s recipe which always worked in my old Oster machine and the loaf still sunk, despite multiple attempts with different tweaks. I found this recipe that uses actual weights, followed it exactly as written, and have finally gotten a great loaf that didn’t sink. It slices great for sandwiches too. Have made it several times now, and haven’t had a fail yet. I’m wondering if my batch of grain has really high hydration and I needed a recipe that used actual weights, not just cups/teaspoons, etc… Regardless, thank you!

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you like it 😊 It really is one of those easy, cozy meals that always turns out great.

Yes, I love adding garlic and fresh rosemary—those two make such a difference! Sometimes I’ll also throw in a little thyme or paprika depending on the mood.

For sides, I usually keep it simple since everything cooks together, but a fresh salad or some crusty bread on the side is perfect.
