You should definitely make pork chops for dinner, especially on busy weeknights. Here’s why:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 24 oz pork chops
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (can be dried too)
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 cup cut mushrooms

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut mushrooms, bacon, and chop the parsley. Set aside.
  2. Pat the pork chops with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil. Cook pork chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  5. Melt butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic and thyme; cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Add mushrooms, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a boil.
  8. Return the bacon and pork chops to the skillet.
  9. Coat the pork chops with the sauce and serve immediately.
