<li>1 Yellow onion, finely chopped</li>



<li>1 Clove garlic, minced</li>



<li>1 tsp ground cumin</li>



<li>Salt and pepper to taste</li>



<li>1 lb cherry tomatoes, halved</li>



<li>6-8 eggs</li>



<li>Herbs for garnish (chives and basil)</li>



<li>1 Avocado for topping</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO MAKE SHAKSHUKA:</h2>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>&nbsp;Preheat the oven to 400°F.</li>



<li>Prepare the ingredients: chop the onion, peel the garlic clove, halve the tomatoes, season tomatoes with salt and pepper, and chop the basil.</li>



<li>Heat oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.</li>



<li>Add the onion and sauté until golden brown and tender, about 8 minutes.</li>



<li>Stir in the garlic and cumin, and cook for 1 minute.</li>



<li>Add the tomatoes and sauté for 1 minute.</li>



<li>Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 10 minutes.</li>



<li>Remove from the oven, stir, and make small wells in the vegetable mixture. Crack 1 egg into each well.</li>



<li>Bake until eggs reach desired doneness, about 7-8 minutes.</li>



<li>Sprinkle with chopped basil and chives, and top with avocado slices.</li>



<li>Serve and enjoy.</li>
