Ingredients
  

  • 2 to 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a fork or potato masher until smooth.
  • Add the melted unsalted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Incorporate the sugar into the banana-butter mixture and stir until combined.
  • Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, mixing until the ingredients are well incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the batter until they are evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the banana chocolate chip bread to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
