- 8 slices of bacon chopped
- 1 small head of cabbage chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
Thinly slice 1 small head of cabbage (about 6 cups) after removing the core.
Chop 6 slices of bacon into small pieces.
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the grease.
Add cabbage to the skillet, stirring to coat in bacon grease. Season with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly caramelized.
Stir in crispy bacon and cook for another minute.
Serve warm and enjoy!
