Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
Prepare the Chicken Wings:
In a large mixing bowl, pat dry the chicken wings using paper towels.
In another bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Add the dry spice mixture to the chicken wings and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet:
Place the seasoned chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.
Bake the Wings:
Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 30 -45 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
Prepare the Honey Lime Sauce:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the honey, and lime juice. Stir the mixture until well combined. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce slightly thickens. Remove from heat.
Coat Wings with Sauce:
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven. Using tongs, transfer the wings to a clean mixing bowl.
Pour the prepared honey lime sauce over the wings and toss until they are thoroughly coated.
Finish Baking:
Place the sauced wings back on the baking sheet and return them to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes. This allows the sauce to caramelize slightly onto the wings.
Serve:
Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve the delicious honey lime chicken wings hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
