- 1 roll puff pastry thawed
- 6 hot dogs
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the 6 hot dogs into thirds, making a total of 18 smaller pieces.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 18 equal strips, each wide enough to wrap around 1/3 of a hot dog.
Take one strip of puff pastry and wrap it around one-third of a hot dog, slightly overlapping the edges. Press the seam gently to seal. Repeat with the remaining hot dogs and pastry strips.
Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
Make Egg Wash by whisking an egg with a tablespoon of water until smooth.
Lightly brush the beaten egg over the pastry to help it turn golden and flaky.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds evenly over the egg wash.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. These are delicious on their own or paired with your favorite dipping sauces!
