Ingredients For the chicken:

  • chicken breasts about 1.5 pound
  • Salt for seasoning the chicken about 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper about 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder for seasoning about 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese

Ingredients for cream cheese mixture:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken:

  • * Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • * Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cook the Bacon:

  • * In a large skillet, add 1 tablespoon of oil and cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.

Sear the Chicken:

  • * In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • * Sear the chicken breasts on both sides for 2-3 minutes each, until golden. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • * In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with onion powder, dried dill, garlic powder, and salt.

Assemble the Casserole:

  • * Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  • * Add the cooked bacon on top.
  • * Sprinkle with shredded cheese and parmesan cheese.

Bake:

  • * Transfer the casserole dish to the preheated oven.
  • * Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve:

  • * Garnish with fresh or dried parsley or additional bacon bits if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
