Cobb Salad Dressing Recipe

This Cobb salad dressing blends tangy Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and finely minced red onion for a perfectly balanced and flavorful addition to your salad.
Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 tbsp apple cider vinegar or substitute with white wine or red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp red onion very finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp white sugar

Instructions

  • Combine Olive Oil and Vinegar: In a small mixing bowl or jar, start by combining the extra virgin olive oil and apple cider vinegar.
  • Add Seasonings: Stir in the black pepper, then the kosher salt, followed by the white sugar. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Incorporate Dijon Mustard: Add the Dijon mustard and mix well.
  • Add Onion: Stir in the finely minced red onion.
  • Whisk or Shake: Whisk the dressing until well combined and emulsified. If using a jar, seal it tightly and shake vigorously.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt, pepper, or vinegar as needed.
  • Serve or Store: Drizzle the dressing over your Cobb salad just before serving. If making in advance, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake or stir well before using.
