INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, cleaned and cut into wingettes and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

INGREDIENTS FOR THE HONEY SAUCE:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • juice of 1 lime

How to Slice Chicken Wings into Three Sections:

  1. Separate the Drumette:
    • Locate the joint between the drumette and the wingette (the flat part).
    • Use a sharp knife to cut through the joint to separate the drumette from the wingette.
  2. Separate the Tip:
    • Find the joint between the wingette and the tip.
    • Cut through the joint to separate the tip from the wingette.
  3. Discard the Tip:
    • The tip can be discarded or saved for making stock.

Now you have three parts: the drumette, the wingette, and the tip. Repeat these steps for each chicken wing.

INSTRUCTIONS how to make honey lime chicken wings recipe:

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  • Prepare the Chicken Wings:
    • In a large mixing bowl, pat dry the chicken wings using paper towels.
    • In another bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.
    • Add the dry spice mixture to the chicken wings and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  • Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet:
    • Place the seasoned chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.

  • Bake the Wings:
    • Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 30 -45 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
