If you’re looking for a quick and delicious snack or meal idea, these Hot Dogs in Pastry—also known as Pigs in a Blanket—are a must-try! Not only are they incredibly easy to make, but they’re also a huge hit in my house. In fact, they’re my kids’ absolute favorite and a frequent request for their school lunches. Wrapped in puff pastry and baked to golden perfection, these treats are perfect for parties, game days, or simply satisfying a craving. Plus, I’ve included a video tutorial to make this recipe even easier to follow. Let’s dive in!

Instructions for Hot Dogs in Pastry Recipe:

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the hot dogs: Cut the 6 hot dogs into thirds, making a total of 18 smaller pieces.
  • Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 18 equal strips, each wide enough to wrap around a 1/3 of hot dog.
  • Wrap the hot dogs: Take one strip of puff pastry and wrap it around one-third of a hot dog, slightly overlapping the edges. Press the seam gently to seal. Repeat with the remaining hot dogs and pastry strips.
